6-week session • One-Hour Classes • $60

Next session begins November 13

This is a gentle, approachable class, suitable for beginners and those who’ve been away from the mat. Each class is a complete, well-rounded practice that builds strength, balance, flexibility, and a deeper connection between mind and spirit.

But alongside its “workout” benefits, yoga has the power to connect us with our energy flow, mental patterns, and deep wisdom, and my classes are consciously designed to enable that subtle learning to happen.

Belly Dance

St. Louis Belly Dance Class

I’ve been studying and performing bellydance — including Raqs Sharqi, Beledi, folklore and Turkish styles — for 25 years.

I teach a style that’s grounded in ethnic dances from the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey.

However, I believe the beauty of this style lies in revealing the individual dancer’s heart, so I’m not afraid to put my own American flavor into things.

I cultivate a warm, supportive environment for dancers of all ages, shapes, sizes, and genders — no matter your goals.

BRING: Bare feet or soft-soled dance shoes (no socks, please). Hip scarf optional. Wear comfortable exercise clothing that lets you and I both see what your body is doing (i.e. a tank top & yoga pants).

Yoga

Online Yoga Class

My teaching is not about serving the ego by achieving fancy poses. It’s about finding comfort and space in your body, building flexibility and strength, and learning to relax and tune in to your higher self.

My classes are gentle and accessible for all levels and abilities.

The first half of each class is intended as a gentle challenge, to build strength and flexibility while turning your mind inward.

The second half of each class is restorative yoga and guided meditation. We’ll use props like bolsters, blocks, walls, and cushions to encourage opening and relaxation.

BRING: A yoga mat. Please have a bolster, couch cushions, or a stack of blankets or towels nearby for class. One or two blocks and a belt or strap is often helpful but rarely required.
