The Focus is Peace, Strength & Flexibility

The first half of the class is active movement — using accessible poses to build strength, balance, and flexibility while turning our minds inward.

The second half of the class is restorative poses to cultivate peace, open up the body, reduce stress, and encouraging the mind to focus and become still.

Description

I’ve done yoga all my life — when I was growing up, I didn’t know that other people didn’t do it!

My teaching is not about achieving fancy poses. It’s simply about finding comfort and space in your body, preserving flexibility and strength, and learning to relax and tune in.

My yoga foundation was with Iyengar teachers, but I teach a mixed hatha yoga style.

Expect a 50-50 mix of active poses and restorative yoga in my classes.

All my classes are taught in 6-week sessions. That means we all start out together at the same time and each week we build on what we learned the week before.

I do allow drop-ins for experienced students who are familiar with yoga basics. If you need to arrange classes on a drop-in basis, just e-mail me.
